In July 2010, Paul Bargetto directed AutoMotive, an original ensemble created play about the American experience of the automobile. It premiered at Performance Space 122 as part of the undergroundzero festival in 2010. It was created as a company project with East River Commedia and included a cast of nineteen actors. It was the first of a planned trilogy of plays focusing on American Identity. The text was developed with Amy Jensson and Heather Denyer. The piece was performed by Troy Lavallee, Herbie Go, Heather Benton, Nora Woolley, Catherine Friesen, Stephanie Shipp, Robert Saietta, Folami Williams, April Sweeney, Aya Agawa, Lisa Clair, Valeri Mudek, and Kevin Stanfa.
