Paul Bargetto has been a committed community activist in the cause of the Performing Arts. In 2005, frustrated at the stifling Union rules and dearth of funding in the independent theater scene, he helped found the League of Independent Theater, an advocacy organization committed to supporting the sector of Off-Off Broadway / Independent Theater. He served on the Board of Directors and later as the Managing Director of Public Affairs. During his tenure he was a vocal and visible presence in the community promoting Independent Theater and engaging in dialog with elected officials and other important leaders in the theater community about the issues facing the independent theater community. He was actively engaged in issues of Showcase Code reform, real estate gentrification, and the loss of space (The Ohio Theater).
Paul is currently active in the European performing arts community and is a member of I.E.T.M and E.E.P.A.P..
