Teatr Trans-Atlantyk is an international theatre company based in Warsaw, Poland founded by Paul Bargetto with Marta Król, Grzegorz Sierzputowski, Tomasz Sobczak, Krzysiek Polkowski, Agata Balcerzak and Helena Chorzelska. The company creates original works of devised theatre with its core ensemble and in collaboration with other dramatists, artists, and experts from other disciplines and fields. We are interested in research-driven documentary theatre, working with playwrights and dramaturges on original texts, reimagining existing texts, and creating public performance interventions. We work and perform in both Polish and English. In 2015, the company created Fundacja Teatru Trans-Atlantyk to support the work of the company and to promote Polish culture internationally.
